2011 MV Agusta Brutale 920 Preview Insurance Feature

2011 MV Agusta Brutale 920 Preview,Insurance,Feature
Mv Agusta has added a new model to their line-up with the introduction of the new Brutale 920. For 2011, the new Brutale 920 gets a suspension that is now softer and more comfortable, anodized handlebars with pivoting clamps, unique wheels and two available color schemes: black and white.

The new bike is powered by a new 921cc 4 cylinder engine that now gets a new bore and stroke ratio. The new four cylinder MV Agusta matches 129 horsepower with a broad torque curve, incredible levels of power have never been this easy to control. The crankshaft of the Brutale is shared with the 55mm stroke unit in the 1090RR as well as the second order engine balance shaft, the optimized oiling system, and the oil cooled generator.

On a cost per performance basis, the new MV Agusta is without a doubt the new reference in the naked sport category. A technologically advanced 4 cylinder engine with radial intake and exhaust valves coupled with the same advanced engine control unit as the 1090RR together with one of the most evolved chassiss the Brutale is able to easily tame even the most demanding roads and racetracks.

This advanced performance is also coupled with a new look, with the color black dominating the new styling of the radiator shrouds and seat.

But, looks are not everything and a major focus was also placed on rider comfort with a re-designed single seat that improves both rider and passenger comfort during every day use.

The Brutale project continues to remain faithful to the original objectives, MV Agusta wanted to build the most compact and light weight naked coupled with a superbike chassis together with raw engine performance that would enamor even the most demanding motorcyclist.

The principle characteristics of the new Brutale are:
• Four cylinder engine with radial valves
• Magneti Marelli 5SM engine control module
• Traction control with 8 levels of intervention
• Tubular steel frame coupled with aluminum side plates for maximum torsional rigidity • Single sided swingarm with a adjustable Sachs rear shock
• Marzocchi upside down 50mm adjustable front forks
• Brembo racing radial calipers
• New single piece seat that is both lower and narrower

2012 Ducati Panigale 1199

We are still a few months of 2012, but the Ducati seems to capture the title for the bike the most anticipated of the new year with the continuation of 1198, the companys flagship superbike.Rumours were rife, that the official name of the new machine will be. All Xtreme Superquadrata (super-site, in reference to the engine much more square bore and stroke measurements), the 1199 only has all been thrown on the table. Ducati has finally put the rumors to rest, having recently unveiled its official name: 1199 Panigale.

2012 Ducati Panigale 1199
2012 Ducati Panigale 1199

For the first time Ducati Superbike range depart from traditional numerical nomenclature. As in past superbikes, "1199" refers to engine size, while "Panigale" pays homage to the home of Ducati in Bologna Borgo Panigale. In addition to his name, more information about Ducatis new flagship is far from official, but we know the company is to make a huge effort for this new machine. So this is what we have gathered a new 1199 Panigale.

2012 Ducati Panigale 1199
2012 Ducati Panigale 1199

The main theme is to raise so much interest is the body - or rather, lack thereof. How to Ducati MotoGP, a new 1199cc V-Twin Sport is a half-self-supporting frame, which wiped out the traditional frame and uses the engine as a stressed member, which is attached to the suspension. Cast aluminum fork bolt, under the guidance of the head, which is then connected to the engine, while the one-sided swingarm in the crankcase. The main advantage of this is a significant weight reduction.

This concept is not new, since Britten and Vincent have the same architecture of the past, but the Ducati is the first major manufacturer to break the mold and the remainder in future frameless design mass-produced motorcycle. Shock nearly horizontal, rear dual-cylinder swing is implemented through the push rod engine and a finger-type rocker from the chainstay. In fact, this design "unframed" is taken directly from the Ducati MotoGP program.

Judging by spy photos weve seen, the bike will be very tight. We see a fairly long arms that will probably be longer than the unit of 19.3 inches on the 1198th This should help traction and cornering stability. Educated estimates put the wheelbase under 56 inches. Lines and the body in 1199 Panigale said to be the result of countless hours of wind tunnel.

In addition, ABS is also optional.

To give the impression of a fresh appearance, also carried a touch of design on the front bumper, indicators, and the back foot. Controlled position also established for the pilot gets more comfortable when activated. Unfortunately, Kawasaki did not mean the price. Just add that there are specific colors with a limited number. "Z750R is an impressive package. Customized braking control and stability. Moreover, also introduced its exclusive status.

Beefy brakes: 2011 Kawasaki Z750R is equipped with four-piston radial-mount brakes and 300mm rotors. ABS is optional.

That engine is harnessed by the Z750 chassis, unchanged in geometry or structure, but with better brakes, suspension and rolling gear. The inverted 41mm fork, inherited from the 2009 Z1000, is adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping. The swingarm is new, fabricated from cast and stamped aluminum elements and actuating a piggyback-style shock, which is also adjustable for preload and rebound.

The entire braking system has been upgraded. Up front, 300mm rotors are teamed with four-piston radial-mount calipers. The rear rotor is sized down to 250mm and the caliper is a floating single-piston unit. All rotors are thicker, up from 4.5mm to 6.0, and have a daisy-style design. 2011 Honda CBR 125R Review

The industry needed a blood newer, younger, low-cost, easily approachable CBR125R able to pay people not otherwise be considered a motorcycle. It also introduced a new generation of young drivers racing through the streets CBR125R Challenge Series spec open to riders aged 13 and upwards.

In addition to the different color variations between model years, the bike performed relatively well in the showroom without modification. But with sales flattening CBR125R, it was time to rejuvenate the small sport bike, so in 2011 he received a facelift important.

2011 Honda CBR125R

The most obvious change is in the body, which now closely resembles the new CBR250R (himself, taking styling cues from the VFR1200F). Although his body is identical to the 250, which applies only to 125. This is mainly because the plastic is in a double steel beam section pentagonal, compared with double-tube steel beam in the 250.

Also new is a bit edgy with exhaust, CBR1000RR-replica muffler comprising a catalytic converter. As the CBR250R, the 125 is the muffler is equipped with a protective cover that is much cheaper to replace in a reversal of the entire system.

2011 Honda CBR125R

Although the framework has not changed, a number of other important adjustments have been made in the chassis. These include a wider swingarm that extends the wheelbase of 50.9 to 51.7 inches, and a shift to greater than 17 inches, an increase of 1.85 inches and 2.15 before and again to 2.5 and 3.5 inches respectively. Wide wheels get wider tires, moving forward and 80/90-17 100/80-17 100/80-17 130/70-17 and a rear and rubber. Travel has also increased from 4.3 to 4.7 inches front and rear 4.7-inch and 5, respectively.

The changes mentioned above have become a new CBR little boy toy, like a real instrument, such as bicycle riding. The longer wheelbase allows for greater ease of use broad, wide tires tend to remove the bike to fall earlier in the curves, while increasing stability and traction.

We had the opportunity to drive a motorcycle Roebling Road Raceway in Georgia, and it really feels more like a real bike than its predecessor. Management was more neutral, and to plant, and it was easier to move around the wheel improved ergos. Wheel appears to remain relatively small, even compared to the CBR250R, but it breathes a lot of significant presence than in the past.

Part of the bike feel more complete weight has increased. In a way, he earned 21 pounds, now switch the weight to 302 pounds wet, but about 5 pounds can be attributed to additional fuel for the 2011 model means its gas tank has increased from 2.6 to 3 , 4 liters. Another change that may appeal to those who perform maintenance is the fuel filter has been moved from inside the fuel tank outside.

Its 125cc liquid-cooled two-valve single is the same, even if the EFI mapping was revised to improve the bottom-end response. Two tooth crown is also added to reduce the overall acceleration of the better transmission, but 21 mm shorter than combat gear longer than the rear wheel.

2011 Honda CBR125R

Despite these changes, a CBR125R rider ever to hit the throttle-stop in most cases, when the alleged 13 horsepower at 10,000 revolutions per minute is just enough to keep the machine running with the traffic of the city. Do my best to put every inch of my winter Dumped out of the body windblast, I do 74 mph at Roebling front right.

The changes to the bike was considered CBR125R Challenge organizers to give an unfair advantage at the track in the previous model, and it will not be eligible to compete in the series of the season to come.

On the bright side for riders of the road, fuel consumption is claimed to be improved by seven to eight percent, which when combined with the largest fuel tank gives a theoretical range of cruise about 335 miles.

2011 Honda CBR125R

The good news for our northern neighbors is that despite all the changes, the Honda CBR125R 2011 lists $ 3.499 (CDN), $ 100 less than the previous model. The bad news is probably going to compete with Honda CBR250R own, which lists $ 4499 without ABS and a motorcycle is much more versatile.

Of course, when you consider that most runners who are interested in CBR125R is probably right out of high school and a summer job to pay for additional studies CAN $ 1,000 U.S. dollars go a long way, not mention the money savings of the insurance cycle, which falls in the range less than premiums.

2011 Honda CBR125R

A curious observation made by the employees of Honda Canada during a special presentation, they welcomed the introduction CBR250R 125R to the current owners was that they were more interested in day 125R 250R. This was attributed to the 125R achieve a kind of cult status with owners who had a passing interest in bikes, before entering, and was nudged to make the jump in two-wheel bike simplicity, low cost , ease of use and readily accessible presence. It is assumed that these riders are not likely to trade for something bigger or faster, but they can exchange up to a flashy 125R.

How well the new CBR125R is not yet visible, but one thing is certain, has carved a niche in the motorcycle world, or at least north of the border.

New Concept Toillet Bike Neo

New Concept Toillet Bike Neo You might have that tough guy image of a biker with your Harley, but even the manliest of Hell’s Angels will still writhe in agony and pain should the stomach bug hit him hard. Well, Toto is offering a chopper that has a slightly different agenda – it allows you to bring the toilet with you wherever you go in the form of the Toilet Bike Neo.

In any case, if youre in Japan, you can see it perform: the talking, music playing, poop-powered toilet bike is going on a 600 mile cross-country tour of Japan, starting October 6 from TOTO headquarters in Kitakyushu. The company could have stopped at making it run on poop. As if a toilet-bike wasnt wild enough, the Toto made sure the Bike Neo could write light messages with LED lights, play music and talk.

TOTO’s Toilet Bike Neo will soon begin its national tour around Japan, starting at their Kitakyushu headquarters. From there it will embark on a multi-city tour that includes a stop off at a butt-shaped boulder in Nakatsu. We can’t wait to see how the journey progresses, and we hope the rider maintains a diet rich in fiber to keep the busy schedule on track.

Akrapovic Morsus Frist Ride

Akrapovic Morsus Frist Ride has always been authority on exhaust systems, whether its with cars or motorcycles. Having crafted a reputation of being one of the best in the business, the Slovenian aftermarket company always gets the nod when brands are looking for top-of-the-line systems.

Built in collaboration with Dreamachine Motorcycles, the Akrapovič Morsus features an S&S 113 CI (that’s 1,852cc for the mertic-inclined) motor that pumps out 114hp through its modified Akrapovič exhaust pipe. The Morsus design appeases our modern-leaning design sensibilities, but true to its ethos, it’s the Akrapovič exhaust that really makes us drool over this bike. There’s something about an underslung side-venting pipe that makes us happy, and the Akrapovič Morsus is no exception to the rule. Photos and more after the jump.

The Morsus was victorious among 120 custom bikes and also won the Radical category. At Lake Faak Akrapovič successfully presented its aftermarket range of exhaust systems for the Harley Davidson.

Even more interesting than the Morsus, really, is the story of Akrapovic. Though Igor Akrapovic (pronounced a-CROP-o-vitch) only started bending pipes 20 years ago (under the name Scorpion until ’97), his exhausts have found their way onto a large percentage of influential motorcycles, including but not limited to Ben Spies’ R1, Jorge Lorenzo’s M1, Bubba Stewart’s YZ450F, Max Biaggi’s Aprilia the list goes on. The first championship was with Colin Edwards’ Honda SP-01 in 2000.

2012 Honda Gold Wing Unveiled Feature

2012 Honda Gold Wing Unveiled comes with a sportier, slightly more aggressive look with its reshaped taillight and new dual vents above the dual headlights.
The company has made several significant revisions for the 2012 Gold Wing. The 2012 version is devoted to the rider environment and styling while the 1832cc, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine remains unchanged.

From the photos, we will also note that the appearance of the GL1800 has been renovated and now appears more slender and streamlined. In particular, the side benches were redesigned hull, to blend the look with the latest dictates of Honda design and to further increase the wind protection of the driver and passenger. We see in fact that the sides of the hull is slightly wider. Were also redesigned the side cases, to increase the carrying capacity and has been revised suspension set-up .

Saddlebag capacity is up 7.0 liters, boosting total storage – including trunk and fairing pockets – to 150.0 liters. Non-airbag models also get a central storage pocket, presumably where the airbag would otherwise reside on so-equipped models. Finish on the seat material is updated, and the wheels are now clear-coated to ease clean up and to help maintain a like-new look.

The Honda Satellite Linked Navigation System (available on some GW models) has a brighter color screen, and offers “programmability for sharing favorite ride routes with friends and other riders,” which can be accessed online according to Honda.

The BMW claims an engine output of 160 hp at 7,750 rpm while the Honda Gold Wing produces 96 hp at 5,600 rpm. Besides, the K1600GT weighs 135 pounds lesser than the Gold Wing. Comparing the prices announced by the two companies, BMW K1600GT, available in 3 package levels is priced in the range of $20,900 to $24,540 and the premium GTL has a price range of $23,200 to $25,845, while the Honda Gold Wing (2012 model) and its trim levels are priced in the range of $23,199 to $28,499.

Repsol Honda Team Le Mans Free Practice Sessions 2011 MotoGP

2011 MotoGP : After their strong performances in Portugal, the Repsol Honda Team (trio) maintained momentum and rhythm in the first free practice sessions of the Grand Prix of France at Le Mans. The team returned to work with a similar set up used two weeks ago in Estoril, a comparable track layout wise, and after the first two sessions the riders are confident in improving their pace and performance looking for good qualifying results.

Casey Stoner topped the time sheets in both free practice sessions, with Dani Pedrosa the third fastest rider of the day and Andrea Dovizioso sixth.

Stoners fastest lap time of 133.782 in his first outing with the RC212V in Le Mans was just a fraction off Valentino Rossis pole position last season (133.408) and almost half a second quicker than the existing Circuit Lap Record of 134.215 set by Rossi in 2008.

Stoner kept a similar set up to Portugal and focused on improving traction in the rear of his machine. Pedrosa, after missing the majority of the post race test in Portugal due to his physical condition, took his time this afternoon to try the new Ohlins front fork and also both hard and soft tyres to compare.

Dovizioso spent the sessions trying to improve stability under braking and working on set up for tomorrows qualifying session.

CASEY STONER – 1st - 133.782
FP1 - 1:34.133, 20 laps, 84 km.
FP2 - 1:33.782, 20 laps, 84 km.
"The track has quite good grip and we have a better feeling than in the past few years in this track and we are very happy, we went out this morning and didnt change so much from Portugal as the tracks are pretty similar for us, we felt good immediately and then changed a few things and tried something we havent tested before on the Honda which seemed to give us more traction in the rear without affecting anything else.

"The weather is fantastic here and I hope it stays this way! Were happy to be where we are and well continue to work tomorrow morning to ensure we have the best set up for qualifying. Every session we do were trying to modify something to improve the bike, I dont know if this is good enough to get pole at the moment as people are able to pull out a very good lap on the soft tyre, today we are fast but Im sure tomorrow the others will also be fast, at this moment we feel comfortable with the settings with just a few more adjustments to make tomorrow, hopefully we can stay ahead of the rest".

DANI PEDROSA – 3rd - 134.431
FP1 - 1:34.431, 22 laps, 92 km.
FP2 - 1:34.478, 23 laps, 96 km.
"In the morning it was difficult with the cold conditions to find some grip and then in the afternoon the grip got better but we couldnt improve as much as we expected. Anyway we have some ideas and I hope to make a step forward tomorrow. We need to work on the front and rear suspension to get a better feeling, the bike was moving a lot this afternoon entering and at the exit of the corners. We have to keep the momentum and bounce back again because we are doing well, the bike is going very strong and we have to keep focused and work hard".

ANDREA DOVIZIOSO – 6th - 134.705
FP1 - 1:34.808, 22 laps, 92 km.
FP2 - 1:34.705, 21 laps, 88 km.
“This morning we started well and we continued working on the set up of the bike in the afternoon. We tried a different setting on the other bike to improve the stability under braking but we didn’t get the results we expected. Tomorrow we will continue to fine tune the set up and the electronics.

"I feel I have margin to improve so I’m not too worried, I have always had good results on this track and the feeling with the machine is good. I’m not happy of the nine tenths gap from Casey, he is very fast, but apart from him we are closer to the first riders. We need to keep on working and improve the race pace."

MARC MARQUEZ - Moto2
FP1 - 139.764, 23 laps, 96 km.
FP2 - 139.236, 21 laps, 88 km.
"We are happy with the work we did today, as each time we took the track we improved our times. In the first Free Session, it was a bit difficult because we arrive to a circuit hat is new for me, although I know it from 125cc, but the lines and the references are different. We have to go slowly to avoid any mistakes.

"I crashed due to an oil spill on track. I did not see the flag, or maybe they had not time to show it, but it was nothing serious. In the second Practice Session, we followed the same line, improving with each step. It is clear that we need to improve a bit in some aspects, but we will be again near the fastest in no time and that is always positive."
